PHƯƠNG TRÌNH TÍCH Cùng với phương pháp biến đổi trực tiếp về PT cơ bản hoặc các PT thường thặp ( PT cơ bản, PT thuần nhất đối với 1 hàm số lượng giác, đẳng cấp, đối xứng, bậc nhất đối với $\sin x, \cos x$ thì các bài toán sử dụng các phép biến đổi lượng giác để đưa về PT dạng tích là các bài toán thường xuyên xuất hiện trong các kì thi tuyển sinh gần đây Một số điểm chú ý - Các biểu thức $1+\sin 2x$; $\cos 2x$; $1+\tan x$; $1+\cot x$; $\sin^{3} x+\cos^{3} x$; $\cos^{4} x-\sin^{4} x$; $\cos 3x-\sin 3x$; $\tan x-\cot x$; $\sqrt{2}\sin \left( x+\frac{\pi}{4} \right)$ thường có nhân tử chung là: $\sin x+\cos x$. - Các biểu thức $1-\sin 2x$; $\cos 2x$; $1-\tan x$; $1-\cot x$; $\cos^{3} x-\sin^{3} x$; $\cos^{4} x-\sin^{4} x$; $\cos 3x-\sin 3x$; $\tan x-\cot x$; $\sqrt{2}\sin \left( x-\frac{\pi}{4} \right)$ thường có nhân tử chung là: $\sin x-\cos x$. - Các biểu thức $\sin^{3} x$; $\sin^{2} x$; $\tan^{2} x$ thường có nhân tử chung là $1-\cos x$ hoặc $1+\cos x$. - Các biểu thức $\cos^{3} x$; $\cos^{2} x$; $\cot^{2} x$ thường có nhân tử chung là $1-\sin x$ hoặc $1-\sin x$.

$\Leftrightarrow \cot 3x\left( \frac{1-\cos 2x}{1+\cos 2x}.\frac{1+\cos 4x}{1-\cos 4x}-1 \right)=\frac{1-\cos 2x}{1+\cos 2x}-\frac{1+\cos 4x}{1-\cos 4x}$
$\Leftrightarrow \cot 3x\left[ \frac{\left( 1-\cos 2x \right)\left( 1+\cos 4x \right)-\left( 1+\cos 2x \right)\left( 1-\cos 4x \right)}{\left( 1+\cos 2x \right)\left( 1-\cos 4x \right)} \right]=\frac{1-\cos 2x}{1+\cos 2x}-\frac{1+\cos 4x}{1-\cos 4x}$

$\Leftrightarrow -4\frac{\cos 3x}{\sin 3x}\left( \sin 3x\sin x \right)=-4\left( \cos 3x.\cos x \right)$ $\Leftrightarrow \cos 3x\left( \sin x-\cos x \right)=0$

b) $\cot x+\sin x\left( 1+\tan x.\tan\frac{x}{2} \right)=4$. ĐK: $\left\{ \begin{array}{l} \sin x\neq 0 \\ \cos\frac{x}{2}\neq 0 \\ \cos x\neq 0 \end{array} \right.$ $\Leftrightarrow \left\{ \begin{array}{l} \sin 2x\neq 0 \\ \cos\frac{x}{2}\neq 0 \end{array} \right.\Leftrightarrow x\neq k\pi, \left( k\in\mathbb{Z} \right)$
$\Leftrightarrow \frac{\cos x}{\sin x}+\sin x\left( 1+\frac{\sin x}{\cos x}.\frac{\sin\frac{x}{2}}{\cos\frac{x}{2}} \right)=4$ $\Leftrightarrow \frac{\cos x}{\sin x}+\sin x\left( \frac{\cos x.\cos\frac{x}{2}+\sin x.\sin\frac{x}{2}}{\cos x.\cos\frac{x}{2}} \right)=4$
$\Leftrightarrow \frac{\cos x}{\sin x}+\sin x\left( \frac{\cos\left( x-\frac{x}{2} \right)}{\cos x.\cos\frac{x}{2}} \right)=4$ $\Leftrightarrow \frac{\cos x}{\sin x}+\frac{\sin x}{\cos x}=4$ $\Leftrightarrow 4\sin x\cos x=1$
$\Leftrightarrow \sin 2x=\frac{1}{2}$ $\Leftrightarrow \left[ \begin{array}{l} x=\frac{\pi}{12}+k\pi \\ x=\frac{5\pi}{12}+k\pi \end{array} \right., \left( k\in\mathbb{Z} \right)$
